Abstract

Faculty members face increasing pressure to secure external research funding, and as a result, there is a critical need for professional development in this area. During this roundtable session we will describe a series of tools and services an Office of Research has designed and implemented in order to help faculty identify grant opportunities and secure research funding. The effect of these actions on faculty grant activities will be presented, and the lessons learned as a result of employing them will be discussed. This information should be useful to those interested in fostering faculty development by creating tools and services to help faculty identify suitable funding opportunities and obtain external funding for their research activities.
