Abstract

This presentation will explore the potential of an inductive, justice-oriented social studies curriculum by exploring the historical traditions of the social studies and recent arguments offered by contemporary scholars, before identifying pedagogical methods that can provide affordances for achieving Amartya Sen’s particular view of social justice thinking.
