The study examined my own practice in teaching multicultural music education at the university level in Indonesia. My research design was a self-study methodology. The data collection took place over one semester. Twenty-nine participants were involved in my study. Data collection included reflective journals, field notes, and memos. The data were analyzed by coding, indexing, dating and labeling. Data presentation used descriptive analysis. Findings indicated that through musical performance activity the participants were able to develop their multicultural awareness. With the richness of their cultural background, the participants also had the chance to share their knowledge about the culture of their respective regions with their friends. This experience also taught the participants that diversity is present in the classroom.
