Critical Review on Mobile Technology–Supported Science Learning: Instructional Strategies and Challenges

Abstract

With cumulating research on mobile technologies supported science learning, there can be useful lessons learned on valuable instructional strategies and important challenges associated with integrating mobile technologies. In this paper, we critically analyzing 16 empirical research studies ranged from 2010 to 2013. Based on our research questions and a unique focus on science learning, we synthesized the research findings on how mobile technologies have been used to support various learning outcomes, the effective instructional strategies, and identified challenges of effectively using mobile technologies to support science learning.
