This review of educational research examines the prevalence of race-related research between the years of 1980 - 2013 at the College and University Faculty Assembly (CUFA) annual conference. Using Critical Race Theory, and cultural memory framework, the authors conducted a content analysis of CUFA conference programs for evidence and frequency of race-related, and racism scholarship. Findings include fluctuations in frequency of research from year-to-year with no evident agenda to include issues of race and racism within the context of the social studies as a scholarly priority for the organization or those responsible for selecting research. Initial findings are suggestive of a lack of expediency and attention to inclusion of race-related research and dialogues.
