Abstract

The research question that anchors this paper asks: How can LatCrit, Tribal Crit, and Asian Crit theories inform organizational theory and in turn how can these theories contribute to the leadership of socially just schools? To address the research question, I analyzed K-12 leadership publications that were informed by LatCrit, Tribal Crit, and Asian Crit theories, expanding out to higher education and K-12 education as needed. Across this literature, I identified the key tenets of each of these theories. Next, I considered how these tenets could inform traditional organizational theories and educational leadership for equity and diversity. The paper includes strengths and limitations of these perspectives for practice and research in educational leadership. 1a
