This qualititative study investigated preservice Agriscience educators readiness and physiological stress level profiles in response to teaching students with disabilities. Preservice Agriscience teachers planned for and implemented two lessons in simulated classrooms that included students with disabilities. Data sources included researcher field notes, interview transcripts, post-teaching reflections, and physiologicial stress data. This study analyzes preservice Agriscience teachers’ reflections on their teaching experiences, and stress levels related to serving students with disabilities. This study informs teacher preparation of future career and technical educators and calls for further research from special education, Agriculture education, and collaborative work to define and develop an evidence-base for effective service.
