Recent educational trends call for globalized classrooms where students learn from their peers and collaboration is seamless across learning environments. The responsibility to meet these demands falls on the instructors who interact daily with students. This mixed methods study explores teacher experiences that impact K-12 instructional practices and technology integration decisions in global classrooms through a case study methodology. Utilizing questionnaires, surveys, and artifact analysis, across formal and informal worldwide learning networks, this study found several emergent themes that will inform future teacher training development. Key factors found to influence instructional practices include: community collaboration, transformative resources, and instructor enthusiasm.
