By going through the interviews that are the result of a mulvivocal video-ethnography study carried out in a French kindergarten classroom for the Deaf inside the premises of a mainstreamed public school, this study aims to explore the discrepancies between what the Deaf teachers involved in the classroom deem important to show and what the audience was expecting to see. The author uses the lenses of the troubled French Deaf history and the recent changes in the law regarding the education of the Deaf to try and explain those disparities of views. The conclusion will make a parallel between the experiences of those Deaf teachers and those of other minorities in general.
