Abstract

Abstract: The establishment of the Hudson University (pseudonym) education leadership journal club grew out of a need to create spaces for current and aspiring academics within our department to engage in dialogue and intellectual risk-taking. Following the club's inaugural year, we as doctoral student members of the journal club organized a collaborative autoethnography to investigate the interplay between our identities and lived experience in the group. Future findings from our research will contribute to deeper, reframed understandings of others and ourselves while we identify how the journal club assists us in our personal and scholarly development. Our project will also offer implications for journal club improvement and avenues for future research.
