The purpose of this qualitative research project is to explore the invasive nature of Whiteness in the fiber of the classroom and its impact on the provision of equitable access of high-quality instruction with a goal of shaping education praxis. It is imperative that educators critically examine the role of culture, language, and heritage in educational access and achievement. The researchers involved with this collaborative project use scholarly personal narratives (SPNs) as a means of self-excavation to understand how perceptions, behaviors, and experiences may perpetuate a hegemonic perspective of education. One key theme across all of the narratives suggests that a White supremacist perspective pervades policies and practices that influence our thinking and professional roles.
