Abstract

The purpose of this study was to gain an understanding of rural low-income students’ perceptions of how and to what extent using loans to fund their post-secondary education impacted their college choice and enrollment. With the growing concerns of financing a college education, it is important to examine what types of financial aid is offered to these students and what other factors influence their decisions to enroll in certain institutions.
