Abstract

This study explores the extent and nature of student learning about Barack Obama. Drawing on Guinier's (2004) work on racial literacy, as well as a cultural memory lens, this work speaks to the formal and informal sources of Obama-related knowledge and the implications for a developing public Obama narrative.
