This study addresses the importance of professional interaction between and among district and site leaders around the implementation of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and further investigates over time change of such interaction with explanatory factors using multilevel mixed modeling in one large mid size school district serving diverse student population. Findings suggest over time increased trajectories in the leaders’ sending and receiving ties around the CCSS and the relationships between such increased trajectories and the leaders’ beliefs about the CCSS and perceived organizational learning.
