The present study examined the development of Korean children at ages 0-2 who participated in child care services and how they differed from the population that did not utilize these services. It also investigated the degree to which the impact of child care services on children’s developmental outcomes depends on family income. Using the data from the Panel Study on Korean Children of KICCE, the analysis revealed: 1) correlations between household income and the use of child care centers, 2) differences in developmental areas depending on household income, and 3) associations between the use of child care services and infants’ development. The findings from this study provide valuable information for developing optimal support and policies for infant care and education.
