Drawing from Anzaldua(1987) and Delgado Bernal(1989, 2001, 2002) I use a Chicana feminist perspective as a decolonizing framework to delve into my lived experiences as a Hispanic, Mexican-American woman, mother, teacher educator and emerging scholar who is navigating multiple worlds and grappling with overcoming perceived challenges during my doctoral studies. In this self study, in order to disrupt my silence and to find my emerging voice, I share my testimonio as a form of praxis.
