This study explores what happens when two researchers begin to explore their shifting identities through their work within a university/community partnership with an Alaska Native village in western Alaska. Using Grande’s (2008) precepts of “red pedagogy” and Fine’s (1997) notion of “working the margins,” along with narrative research methodologies, this study seeks to understand how two researchers are transformed through engaging in post-colonial research within a village/university partnership.
