Sun, April 19, 4:05 to 5:35pm, Hyatt, Floor: East Tower - Purple Level, Riverside East

Abstract

Twenty-first century teachers must be highly prepared, confident, and develop self- and -group efficacy to access, problem solve, and assess effective technological solutions that will address the needs of diverse group of students in self-contained and inclusion classrooms (Alliance for Excellent Education Policy Brief, 2011). The program elements proposed for Techspiration were designed intentionally to meet the needs of our female, undergraduate and graduate preservice and inservice teacher education program students. Study participant collaborators from T.R.U.E. (Teaching Routes for Urban Educators), a Transition to Teaching grant funded project initiative operated in tandem with a larger program entitled UTEP (Urban Teacher Enhancement Network).
