Adopting a Children's Rights Perspective

Abstract

This presentation will consider how teachers' assessment practices can be an enabling factor in their students' learning. In this regard, two specific questions will be explored: how can teachers ensure that all children are served equally well by their assessment practices; how can teachers engage students as equitable stakeholders in assessment? Underpinning this is exploration is the idea of just and meaningful participation in learning for all students.
