There are concerns that students coming into College are not prepared for college-level mathematics. An in-depth look at content areas proficiency in high school mathematics such as Algebra and Function would give indication how the grasp of concept will impact students in future Calculus course. Using data that captures students’ performance in standardized test during their high school and their respective Calculus attainment in college, we can link content areas and pattern of answers that shows student’s readiness for college and success in Calculus. The proposed analysis would be linear regression model on different content areas that explains Calculus grades and pattern of answers in the form of which content areas’ proficiency links to better success in Calculus.
