Abstract

The world capitalist system establishes
in its course several international
divisions of labor. Since
the colonial era, the Latin America region suffered pillaging of precious metals and
other natural resources.
During the period of industrialization,
this region played
the fundamental role
as an“ exporter” of raw materials and cheap
food to feed workers in the advanced
capitalist countries contributing to reduce
the value of industrial production.
