Structured abstracts have been used extensively in the biomedical sciences; however, their use has been much less prevalent in the social sciences. This session examines the concept behind the use of structured abstracts in the social sciences generally, and in education research specifically. We also demonstrate implementation of an online program designed to facilitate the creation of structured abstracts as a tool to increase public accessibility to research findings in education. We explore the potential of such a system as well as current challenges and concerns regarding implementation.
