First established in the UK by Joanna Swann, University of Brighton and Tyrell Burgess, University of East London, the journal transitioned to SIUE in 2006, Caroline Pryor, Editor.
LFD draws on the epistemology of Karl Popper and his writings on The Open Society. The journal, therefore encourages a wide range of manuscript submissions. Articles are accepted according to relevance, coherence and interest.
The journal sections have been expanded and advisory & review boards international and US faculty.
Graduate student and mentor faculty are encouraged to submit to LFD. A special issue (Winter, 2015) on international faculty exchange is expected to offer a hard-copy and online option
