Abstract
The purpose of this interactive symposium is to bring together a diverse panel of senior scholars to revisit major historical trends and advances in educational administration in the last 100 years, and to identify and discuss what they see as the major challenges still to be confronted. Each presenter will discuss some of the changes they have seen, the theoretical influences on their own work and on the field, and offer some critical reflection about the future of the field at a time when leadership preparation programs and higher education in general, are under threat in many countries.
