Abstract
The purpose of this structured poster session is to explore current issues in educational research being conducted by, and among Indigenous peoples across the world. The research literature, with which educational scholars are most familiar, comes largely from majority cultures with authors and participants reflecting a Western, White European perspective. A rich body of work exists with which educational scholars and practitioners may be less familiar; the work of Indigenous scholars in Indigenous communities. This session brings together scholars from two continents and two island nations, whose work gives voice to Indigenous peoples, and represents the spirit of this year’s theme, “Toward Justice: Culture, Language, and Heritage in Education Research and Praxis.”
