Session Type: Symposium
This symposium will bring together well-established scholars to facilitate a discussion addressing the timely question: How do distinct measures advance our understanding of Self-Regulated Learning (SRL)? Each presenter will: (1) Describe the SRL measure used in his or her research agenda; (2) Discuss data generated by this measure; (3) Identify how the measure and data advance our understanding of SRL; and (4) Embed these descriptions in the broader contexts of questions guiding research agendas. The discussant, renowned SRL scholar Dale Schunk, will present constructive critiques of each presentation and provide commentary about improving methods in the SRL field. The symposium will conclude with a discussion generated by questions from attendees and facilitated by the discussant.
