Session Type: Structured Poster Session
Single-case experimental designs are an important research method for evaluating treatment effects on individuals, particularly for low-incidence populations such as individuals with developmental disabilities, and are used in a variety of fields within education and psychology. Increasing recognition of the inferential shortcomings of visual inspection, along with the growing emphasis on evidence-based practice in fields that use SCEDs, has led to a surge of interest in methods for statistical analysis and meta-analysis of the designs. This session will present new work on statistical analysis of SCEDs, the validity and utility of different effect size metrics for SCEDs, and methods for meta-analyzing SCEDs.
