Session Type: Symposium
This symposium will present evidence of how research-informed policy, program and practice can guide system change, promote respectful collaboration and engagement, and address inequalities to ensure achievement and well-being for all students. Papers will present evidence of how large systems can engage in organizational learning to inform public policy, build stakeholder engagement in shaping a system-wide vision for education, and target strategies to address inequalities in outcomes for children and youth. Emphasis will be placed on positive learning environments that support all students to feel engaged, included and respected, as well as evidence-informed and sustainable mental health promotion and prevention programming, and research-based strategies for addressing achievement gaps for disadvantaged students.
