Abstract

This symposium session is intended to present new research that poses significant policy questions and implications on the complex experiences of teachers of Color in the twenty-first century, particularly in the preparation and induction years. There is a continued need for deeper understandings of the unique experiences of this group, and dedicating a symposium to this important topic helps to advance conversations in the field for practitioners and researchers alike. Using a variety of research methods and settings, the papers in this session explore how teacher educators, preparation programs, and professional development institutes have intentionally proposed to support teachers of Color.
