Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
This presidential session features the unspoken histories of unequal education grounded in the counternarratives of historically excluded and disenfranchised communities (i.e., Black American, Mexican American, and Asian/American) in the U.S.A. and their importance in disrupting educational leadership dispositions and practices that systematically privilege some students and school communities over others based on their racial, socioeconomic, cultural, and immigrant status. Panelists will present findings from their historical and community-based research that captures these unspoken educational histories and the utility of such stories in raising awareness among educational leaders to disrupt leadership for the privilege imperative and advance leadership toward justice.
