26.017 - Cultivating the Writer Inside of You: Planning, Strategizing, and Giving and Taking Feedback

Abstract

This session will provide graduate students with practical tips and suggestions for enhancing their writing. Specifically, the panelists will share information about a variety of different writing strategies, suggestions for publishing venues, and methods of developing successful writing habits. Particular attention will be paid to transitioning from writing as a student to writing as a junior professor. If participants’ bring a short piece of writing to share, the panelists will use it to demonstrate 1-2 methods for giving feedback as part of peer writing groups.
