Abstract

What can those engaged in research about learning and instruction contribute to the dialogue about diversity and social justice? In what ways does the long and rich history pertaining to individual differences in learning and instruction complement or complexify discussions about diversity and social justice? These are the two broad questions that frame this special session. To address these thought-provoking issues, a panel of four renowned experts who have long been engaged in the study of diversity or individual differences will share their perspectives and collectively respond to questions about diversity and individual differences submitted by members of Division C.
