Session Type: Roundtable Session
Papers in this session challenge us to reconsider authoritative discourses in professional identity construction and alternative conceptions of teaching that critically question the norms and practices of high-stakes neoliberal early education systems. Presenters highlight the potential contributions of critical dialogue--including teachers' own views about their work within high-risk environments--as constitutive parts of otherwise more traditional, outcomes-focused evaluation design.
