49.086 - Creating Equitable Curricular Opportunities in Large School Districts: Successes and Challenges

Abstract

One of the most pressing and difficult issues facing large school districts is how to provide equitable curricular opportunities to all students in their districts. Schools have struggled to make high quality college prep programs available and accessible to the diverse populations of students they serve. Each of these districts presenting in this symposium have used different approaches to providing such programs. In this symposium, officials from these large districts will describe the strategies their districts use and the successes and challenges they have encountered.
