This study examines the relationships between learners’ wiki self-efficacy, sense of community, perceived collaborative learning, and perceived learning in classroom environments in which students were required to use wiki to complete group work. Students’ perceptions of collaborative learning experiences in wiki-based settings were explored. Participants were 45 African American students enrolled in two management courses. A mixed methods approach was applied to analyze the collected data. Results indicated that sense of community and perceived collaborative learning significantly contribute to perceived learning through wiki. However, wiki self-efficacy was not found to be a good predictor of perceived learning. Also, most students revealed positive attitudes towards group learning experiences that involved collaborative process as well as the development of knowledge and skills.
