In building on the importance of collaborative voices in K-12 schools we continued our study exploring the uses of project-based learning (PjBL) in a middle school. By surveying 6th grade and 7th grade middle school students, teachers and school administrator regarding their self-efficacy and perceptions, researchers were able to learn how this initiative influenced the self-efficacy and perceptions to changes of all participants as they worked in communities of engagement. This paper focuses on the perceptions of teachers and school principal and how PDS model was use in building on this community of engagement.
