This research will examine the professional trajectory of Jumpstart Corps members to better understand the role of the Jumpstart volunteer experience on subsequent career trajectories. This study employed a mixed methods approach using both qualitative and quantitative data on 3 cohorts of Corps members. [ONE SENTENCE ON FINDINGS HERE.] This research is has implications for the training and development of education professionals. Better understanding the function of Jumpstart in the pre-service training process can guide practitioners on their recruitment and training of college student volunteers as future teachers.
