Higher Education and Student Affairs has witnessed some increases toward LGBTQ inclusive policy and practice, the number of institutions providing resources to their LGBTQ communities remains marginal (Marine, 2011). Exemplifying the successes and struggles of LGBTQ leaders may provide valuable implications for practice and leadership scholarship. I seek to explore the experiences and strategies of these self-identified LGBTQ leaders, through their campus involvement (i.e., LGBTQ Councils, faculty or staff organizations, volunteer services, etc.) or positional experiences (i.e., campus diversity officers, salaried LGBTQ center staff, etc.). The primary research question guiding this study is: How do faculty or campus administrators engage in LGBTQ leadership practices toward creating change on their campuses?
