The purpose of this presentation is to present an overview and synthesis of the hidden cultural dynamics in mentoring, specifically in programs and relationships. The authors of this proposal edited a recently published book that contains a plethora of research situated in twelve countries around the world. The paper will be a meta-analysis, synthesizing the research, specifically dealing with cultural aspects of mentoring and the impact on the overall teacher induction process. Participants will be immersed in a global sense of mentoring as part of induction programs, relating to the relational, organizational, and societal influences of (broadly defined) culture.
