This presentation contributes to 2016 AERA themes in efforts to advance transnational research across diverse education systems. It reports preliminary themes from collaborating investigators engaged with transnational action research networks across 4 education systems. To begin, the theoretical framework of the study is defined and discussed along with a brief overview of the characteristics of social science transnational field research and action research. Next, a description of the research is provided which leads into an outline of the methodological framework of the study. Findings are contextualized as cohesive methodologies aligned with the unique elements of transnational action research in education. Recommendations are outlined as a conceptual framework for conducting transnational action research networks of pressing education events.
