The purpose of this paper is to highlight the use of personality traits as input characteristics in a recent pair of studies examining the relationship between higher educational experiences and students’ intentions to innovate in an entrepreneurial capacity. Results indicated that personality characteristics explained notable portions of variance in the criterion, entrepreneurial innovation intentions, distinctive from traditionally employed variables (e.g., course-taking patterns). Implications are discussed.
