Evaluation Findings for the College Readiness Program on Student Outcomes

Abstract

The National Math and Science Initiative’s College Readiness Program (CRP), is an established program implemented in over 600 schools across 26 states. CRP’s goal is to promote college readiness in STEM fields by increasing high school students’ success through advanced placement (AP) coursework in mathematics, science, and English, focusing on schools and students traditionally underrepresented in AP programs. This paper presents findings from an evaluation of the program as part of NMSI’s Investing in Innovation Fund (i3) validation grant. For this evaluation, CRP was implemented in three cohorts of schools in Colorado and Indiana over three years. This paper presents impact findings by year of implementation and over time across cohorts using a comparative interrupted time series design.
