Sat, April 9, 12:25 to 1:55pm, Convention Center, Floor: Level Two, Exhibit Hall D Section C

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristics of NYC students identified in various temporary housing (STH) types and the schools they attend, their academic achievement, and supports for and barriers to their school success. It relies on interviews with school administration, teachers, and staff as well as families. This proposal expands quantitative findings presented during a poster session at the 2015 AERA conference as well as adds qualitative data now collected
