This study explored pre-service teachers’ motivation to use technology in the classroom using samples from three countries - Turkey, Spain and the. The results of confirmatory factor analysis in this study supported the construct validity of the motivation for technology integration scale that we employed. Our findings reveal that while school climate predicted pre-service teachers’ intention to integrate technology in education in all three samples, differences among the countries in terms of technology integration motivation were found. Unlike Turkey and the US, self-efficacy predicted choice goals to a smaller degree than school climate in the Spanish sample. Interestingly, outcome expectations scores did not make a statistically significant contribution to predicting pre-service teachers’ intention to use technology in the US sample.
