Little information exists on the role of when in high school CTE courses were taken, and if this plays a role in reducing chances of high school dropout and increasing chances of college-going behavior. Therefore, we will be the first to examine the following research questions:
1. Does taking CTE courses in high school link to differences in the odds of high school dropout and differences in achievement?
2. Does the timing of when these CTE courses were taken link to differences in the odds of high school dropout and differences in achievement?
3. Beyond high school outcomes, does the timing of when these CTE courses were taken link to differences in college-going behaviors?
