This qualitative research study investigates the teacher leader role based on the re-culture of leadership in schools. The overarching objective of this study is to explore the teacher leader roles in three diverse schools in urban, suburban and global communities. The sample includes two teacher leaders from each school. Key attributes shared by these teacher leaders are that they all work in schools that are in a school/university partnership in a global community with diverse student populations. It is the goal of the researchers to analyze themes related to constructs generated from professional capital ideas (Hargreaves & Fullan, 2012) and the characteristics of scholar/researcher, collaborator and coach (Lieberman & Miller, 2007).
