Abstract

This paper outlines a framework designed address the degree to which early childhood experiences are educative. In addition to examining educative early experiences within a Deweyan framework the paper introduces a conceptual rubric for educative experiences and elaborates on results of using the rubric to evaluate an early childhood curriculum at a child development center.
