This paper describes a study conducted using the Desired Results Developmental Profile(2015) [DRDP(2015)] that aims to measure children’s age-group specific development with high accuracy and validity. The DRDP(2015) is a suite of authentic observational assessments to measure children’s progress across three age-groups: Infant-Toddlers (IT), Preschoolers (PS), and Kindergarteners (K). By using the a seamless, full-spectrum DRDP(2015) assessment and item response theory (IRT), this study investigates proper measurement models that can provide a common scale for the three age-groups and age-group specific descriptions of development on the common scale. For illustration, the data collected from the DRDP(2015) calibration study were analyzed using the proposed measurement models.
