There has been a growing understanding of the value of personalized learning experiences provided by education technology for students. While assessing outcomes in terms of achievement is important, it is also of value to understand whether students are experiencing changes in their perceptions about mathematics given these new learning opportunities. During the 2014-15 school year we had an opportunity to assess changes in perception with a scale up of technology to over 200,000 K-12 students in one state in the Intermountain Region of the United States. We discuss our findings from a review of survey data collected from over 3,000 K-12 students to understand changes in their perception during this technology experience.
