Complex problem-solving (CPS) as a critical and necessary skill across educational settings has gained widespread concerning since it requires skill beyond routine reasoning. In this paper, we designed a learning analytics framework for modeling the complex problem-solving process that including theoretical framework design, system implementation, and integrated analysis. 610 students of grade 3 to grade 5 participated this experimental research, and answered the questionaires about cognitive constructs, motivated strategies, self-regulated learning and achievement goal. Result show that focussing on steps and problem-solving processes can discover patterns from user solutions to summarize the successful pattern and failure mode, and the relationship between them to demographic data, learning motivation and self-efficacy.
